"As a piano player, guitarist and singer, the diversity of Steve’s musical output has been wide and varied. Over the years Steve has been drafted in to play keyboards for several UK artists including Jamelia, Lulu, Rebecca Ferguson, The Overtones, Heather Small, Tulisa, Nadine Coyle, Sarah Harding, Nell Bryden, West End star Lee Mead, Euro pop sensation Kirsty Bertarelli and Ed Drewett, vocalist on Professor Green's smash hit, 'Need you tonight'. Alongside Ed, Steve supported Sir Elton John on some of the UK dates of his 2011 world tour. Recently Steve has been playing piano for U.S. country star, Sam Outlaw. Steve is also one of the four 'bandits' from Jess and the Bandits; a hard hitting US meets UK country music collaboration with the wonderful Texan singer, Jess Clemmons.
Steve’s first solo album, 'Corners', is an eclectic mix of tunes and styles that summarise a lifetime of musical influences. Four of the songs on the album were UK songwriting competition successes, and the bonus track, 'The Better Part of Me' was 2008’s winning song. In addition the title track 'Corners' was a finalist in Radio 2's 'Sold on Song' competition. BRIT nominated singer/songwriter discovery Beth Rowley is also featured on the album with a song called 'Too much too late'.
Album number two, entitled 'Black and White Interpretations' is available now and is a compilation of classic covers arranged for piano and voice. Take a listen here.
As well as being a recording artist and a regular on the session scene, Steve takes great pride in his role as the gentleman of the piano bars! You can often find him on a Saturday night surrounded by groups of enthusiastic partiers!"
